Quality Systems
These classes are offered using two primary delivery methods to meet client needs and preferences: face-to-face classroom instruction and blended instruction. Blended instruction combines face-to-face classroom training and web-based training. This hybrid approach minimizes the time employees must be away from their work activities and permits flexible scheduling; moreover, it permits learners to be self-paced as they engage with the instructional content. Dr. McPherson recommends the blended approach for all of my auditor courses. He designed these courses tailoring the web-based portion to learning the content of the standard and the instructor-led classroom portion for planning, conducting, and reporting an audit. This is the portion of the training where immediate instructor feedback and modeling of auditor techniques are critical to achieving desired outcomes. However, the auditor classes can be delivered in their entirety using the face-to-face classroom delivery method.

The purpose of the training course is to introduce learners to evaluative methods and techniques that may be employed to inform decision-makers about the effectiveness, implementation, and improvement of program management for learning, research, and management systems.
Duration: 2 Days.
The scheduled class time is 8:00 to 5:00 PM.
This course is intended for learners who have previously completed a course in internal auditing and have some experience performing audits. While auditing is about establishing conformity to requirements and agreed-upon criteria, evaluation is about making value judgments. Learners will be introduced to the methods for establishing evaluative conclusions about effectiveness, value, worth, level of improvement, and how good an evaluation object is. The concept of evaluation–specific logic and methodology as described by Michael Scriven, Jane Davidson, and others will be discussed and applied to program management with an emphasis on quality systems. An example discussion topic for the class will be clause 6.2.2 of the ISO 9001:2015 Standard in regard to competence, awareness, and training. Here the standard states that the organization will “evaluate the effectiveness of the actions taken.” During the course, learners will be engaged in a determination of how this might be accomplished and how an evaluative conclusion of “effective” might be established
The purpose of this training seminar is to familiarize the learner with the guidelines and processes for advanced product quality planning.
Duration: 4 Hours.
The scheduled class time is TBD
Training Overview:
This course is designed to familiarize the learner with the basic knowledge requirements for accomplishing advanced product quality planning (APQP) to support requirements specified in IATF 16949 and applicable customer-specific requirements. With the knowledge gained from the course, learners will understand how the tools, procedures and reporting requirements specified in the Advanced Product Quality Planning and Control Plan reference manual are used to meet these requirements
The purpose of this training seminar is to familiarize the participant with the conditions and processes of learning to inform personnel who select, design, organize, or perform training in their organization.
Duration: 4 Hours.
The scheduled class time is TBD
Training Overview:
Based on a cognitive information processing approach to human learning, this seminar is designed to familiarize the participant with how learning occurs and the conditions that impact learning outcomes. The five major categories of learning outcomes and the conditions of learning and events of instruction that facilitate achievement of learning according to Robert Gagne will be discussed. Schema theory and advance organizers will be briefly discussed as it relates to the activation of prior knowledge. The importance of motivation to the learning process will be reviewed. The seminar is designed to stimulate interest in how learning occurs and how learning processes can be facilitated. It will serve as an introduction to a more extensive and thorough review of learning theory and the conditions of learning.
The purpose of this training seminar is to familiarize the learner with the background, evolution, and structure of the AS9100 Aerospace Quality Management Systems Requirements Standard., and how organizations can become registered by an accreditation body. This course is aimed at company owners and managers who intend to implement AS9100 in their organizations.
Duration: 2 Days.
The scheduled class time is 8:00 to 5:00 PM.
Training Overview:
This course is designThis course is designed to equip the learner with a working knowledge of the SAE AS9100 aerospace quality management systems requirements standard. With the knowledge gained from the course, learners will be prepared to begin quality management system implementation planning and registrar selection activities in their organization. The course includes self-check and discussion sessions to reinforce learning as well as an audit simulation activity. During the simulation activity, the learner will use the AS9101 aerospace quality management system assessment standard to build a brief audit checklist. The idea of the simulation is to allow the learner to experience an audit from both the auditor and auditee perspective.
